Welcome to FOSH.

You don't need an account to explore events — just tap "Enter" on the welcome screen to get started. However, registering unlocks key features like:

• Following Acts and Venues

• Saving events to "My Events"

• Receiving event alerts based on your preferences

• Creating a public profile and FOSHinary Tales

Registration is free and takes less than a minute. You can sign up with email or social login (Apple, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn).

The Map is the default screen for new and returning users. You'll see it labeled as "Map" in the bottom navigation.

• Events are shown as color-coded pins. Each category (e.g., Music, Theater, Food & Drink) has its own icon and color.

• You can zoom or pan the map to explore nearby neighborhoods or other cities.

• Use the date picker at the top to view events for today, tomorrow, or the day after.

• Tap a pin to open a preview card with event info.

• Tap that card to view full event details.

You can explore the map even if you're not registered — but saving events or receiving alerts requires registration.

When you see an Act or Venue you like, you can tap the Follow button (small + icon on the card or "Follow" button on their profile).

Following lets you:

• See updates from that Act or Venue on your "Acts" or "Venues" screen

• Get alerts about new events, even if they're outside your chosen distance setting

Unregistered users will be prompted to register before following. You can manage your followed items in your Profile.

Each event card includes a "+" icon that allows you to save it.

Once saved:

• The event will appear under "My Events" on the Events screen.

• You'll get a pop-up asking if you'd like to add it to your phone's calendar. If you say yes, your calendar will open pre-filled with event details and a deep link to FOSH.

• You'll then be asked if you want to share the event with friends.

Unregistered users must register to use this feature.

Your Profile is customizable and visible to other users based on your privacy preferences.

In your profile you can:

• Add a photo, cover image, and tagline

• View and edit your interests, roles, and followed Acts/Venues

• Track your FOSH Points and loyalty status

• Post and manage FOSHinary Tales

You control what others see. Go to Privacy Settings to toggle visibility for items like your bio, upcoming events, interests, or status ring.

If you turn off "FOSH Profile," your entire public profile becomes hidden.

FOSH lets you receive personalized event alerts based on:

• Your Home Location

• Your preferred walking distance

• Your selected interests

• Your custom alert days and times

You can update your Notification Settings anytime via your profile. You'll choose:

• Which days you want alerts

• What time of day you want to receive them

• Whether to bundle them into a daily summary

• Whether to get reminders two hours before "My Events"

Only registered users can receive notifications. If you haven't installed the PWA, you'll be prompted to do so when enabling alerts.

FOSH is a Progressive Web App (PWA). That means you can install it like a native app, with no app store required.

After your second visit as a registered user, you'll be prompted to install it.

Depending on your device:

• Android: Tap "Install Now" when prompted. You'll see FOSH on your home screen.

• iPhone Safari: Tap the Share icon, then "Add to Home Screen."

• iPhone Chrome: You'll be redirected to open the page in Safari and follow the steps above.

Installing the app unlocks push notifications, faster access, and offline support.
